JEE Main 2020 is considered one of the most renowned engineering examinations. Students aspiring to take admission into any of the 31 NITs, 20 IIITs and 19 FTIs have to sit for this examination. Conducted by NTA, this exam serves as a method to shortlist the intelligent minds for JEE advanced 2020. Only those students who qualify the second exam can fulfill their dream of joining an IIT. Even if a candidate is not able to qualify for JEE advanced, he or she can take admission in many private and government institutions across the country which consider the score of JEE Main 2020.

JEE Main 2020 Registration Process

Notification for JEE Main 2020 has been released on 03 September 2019. The JEE Main 2020 registration process is available from 03 September 2019. Then, candidates can start applying online through the link provided on the official website. Application form can be submitted until 10 October 2019. Candidates can apply during this window of time given. Further, students need to complete the payment of application fee by then. Only those candidates who successfully submit their application will be issued an admit card.

Every candidate should read the eligibility requirement of every exam before applying. If a candidate is found to fall short of meeting the eligibility requirements, his or her application will be disqualified, Hence they should carefully go through the eligibility requirements given in the information brochure which can be downloaded from the official website.

Eligibility for JEE Main 2020-

Candidate should have been born after 31st October 1995. SC/ST/PwD candidates can avail a five year relaxation in age.

Candidate should have passed class XII from any recognized state or centre board. There is NO minimum percentage for appearing in this examination. However minimum percentage required to be considered for admission into the IITs, NITs, CFTIs is 75% in XII boards (for SC/ST/PwD 65%). Or they should be included in the top 20 percentile in the 12th examination of respective boards

Candidate should have passed in Physics, Chemistry and Maths as compulsory subjects in their qualifying exam.

Appearing students can apply. They have to provide their mark sheet at the time of admission.

Diploma holders are also welcome to apply but they will only be eligible to take admission into the IITs.

For JEE Main 2020 registration process, having an Aadhar card is mandatory. Those who do not have an Aadhar card should apply for it immediately. On applying, they will receive an aadhar acknowledgement number. Further, candidates can use this aadhar acknowledgement number in their application forms.
