JEE Main 2018 Notification Details

JEE or Joint Entrance examination is considered the most prestigious examination for getting admission in the most prestigious engineering colleges. It is dream for many lakhs of students who prepare meticulously throughout the year and sit for this examination. Central Board of Secondary Education or CBSE is the conducting body. On the basis of score obtained students can get admission into various courses such as B.E./B.Tech & B.Arch courses. Exceptional candidates who qualify this exam become eligible for JEE Advanced and are eligible for the IITs. Altogether, 31 NITs, 20 IIITs and 18 FTIs consider the result of JEE Main. Therefore, candidates aspiring to pursue engineering in these renowned institures should buckle up and start preparing.

JEE Main 2018 Notifications

Important points regarding JEE Main 2018 are:

The notification for applying for JEE Main 2018 will be released somewhere around November 2017.

The application process is completely online.

Application process wil continue till December2018.

Further, there is provision to pay the application fees offline as well as online.

Moreover candidate do NOT need to send any hard copy of any document (application form, any marksheet etc) to the institute.

It is mandatory for the applicants to have Aadhar Card. (those who don’t have Aadhar card need to apply for it. In the meanwhile they can upload their Aadhar acknowledgement number).

Provisions for corrections in the filled in application form (in certain fields) will be allowed later.

It is mandatory for the aspirant to have qualified class XII. However appearing students can also apply.

Although class XII marks will not be taken into consideration for calculating JEE Mains rank, it is necessary for any candidate to have scored atleast 75% marks. (Or they should be in the top 20 percentile in their class XII exam of any recognised board.

A candidate shall have yotal three attempts to clear JEE Main.

 

JEE Main 2018 consist of two papers, Paper-1 (B. E./B. Tech.) and Paper-2 (B. Arch./B. Planning.).

Application fees will vary according to the papers chosen for appearing and mode of exam i.e. whether online or offline.

These application fees are applicable for chosing examniation centre in India. For those candidates who have opted for examination in a foreign country the application fees will vary.
